I have a 15 year old cat, I noticed walking funny up the stairs about a month ago. I'm not sure If shes limping or not. She just uses her right paw more often to reach for eatch step, but she only does that when shes walking up the steps. Other that that, shes having no trouble running, or jumping, or scratching her scratch post. Shes been on joint supplements for a month. It's hard to tell if it's working, because when she uses the stairs, she usually sprints up. She only walks wierd, when shes walking, which doesnt happen often. I asked someone if I should sit around and see if I could catch my cat walking up the stairs, or just go about my normal life, and if I happen to catch her doing it, then cool. They called me a cruel owner, because my cat might be in pain, and I'm not doing anything about it. ???? I took her to the vet, and put her on joint supplements. I just need ti catch her walking up the stairs. They told me I'm cruel for letting cat use the stairs, because she MIGHT be in pain. If my cat wants to walk up the stairs, then I'm gonna let her walk up the stairs. Am I being cruel here? If I see her limping then I'll definitely take her to the vet.
