[Discussion] do you think I'm overreacting about giving my moms dog his anti inflammatories after every walk?

My moms dog had "a little arthritis" as the bet said, so he was prescribed some anti inflammatories, when he seems to be in pain. Well, it's hard for me to tell if hes in pain or not. I walk home everyday. We live on a mountain, and we wake on a concrete rode. We usually walk off leash, and he lags behind, when we are walking down the hill. He also walks with his arms shouted out, if that makes sense. I'm guessing it bigut just be a pit bull thing, since I remember him walking like any when he was a puppy too, but then randomly he will start sprinting, mostly when we are approaching the house. He ran up stairs just fine, and immediately jumped up on my moms bed. It's about 2 1/2 feet high. Hes not in obvious pain, but I feel guilty not giving him a pill, in case he might be. My mom usually gets upset with me when I give him one when hes not in obvious pain, I think because shes trying to save money, so she keeps them on her drawer, so I'll have to wake her up If I want to give him one, which would then probably start an arguement. I asked my mom if she thinks he needs a pill, and she said "no, I think hes fine." I mean, it's her dog, and she knows him better then anyone, and i want to trust she wouldnt let him be in pain, if she didnt have to. I just dont want to keep giving him these pills, when I could just be waisting my moms money. I posted a question about this before, but I cant stop thinking about this. I'll probably be up all night feeling guilty.
