Got a 11-week old St. Bernard pupper. She's full of energy, so we try to take her for walks. She refused to leave the property.

We live in the suburbs, not huge properties or anything. We try to depleted her energy levels and regulate her sleep with frequent walks. We'll notice she's biting a lot and running all over, and try to walk her.

So then I grab the leash to walk her, but I feel like I have to drag her literally all the time. My thinking is that I need to be the Alpha Dog, and she needs to learn to be obedient. I'll see her sniffing, so I stop to let her go, but instead she just sits and looks at me. At first, I thought it might be that she's homesick, so I picked her up and walked so that she'd only be walking the way back. I was wrong. She was still very resistant. Maybe she was just tired.

So we come back home, and she's still biting and way full of energy. I don't know what to do to keep her exercising.
