Hi.
So the Mrs. has finally come around to the idea of getting a pet. Now we come to the question of what to get. I wanted to hear your honest, candid opinions and advice, please.
For context: we live in a two-bed apartment, so no outdoor space (besides a balcony). We both work, though she is reducing her time. No kids (not yet, at least).
The three suggestions are:
- kitten: I'd love a kitten, but we have a lot of beautiful wood furniture, lots of picture frames on shelves, etc. Good idea, or potential disaster?
- dwarf rabbit: normal rabbits get quite big, our friends who have rabbits all have gardens. We were thinking of getting a pair of females, so we don't have to worry about the little ones. Good idea?
- parrot: specifically, the r/PartyParrot ones. I don't know much about birds, but it seems they are a bit easier to keep?
Apologies for this being so vague, but we don't want to get a pet that we can't maintain properly. Appreciate any ideas you can share. Thank you!
