Just a vent I guess. We currently have a three year old pit who we adopted from the shelter at 4 months- we trained her to be the perfect dog...she didn’t come this way. And I think my SO is glossing over all the hard work we did with her by comparing dog A to dog B. This new dog I got from the shelter came from a severely abusive home, so understandably she’s incredibly skittish and unsure of everything. She’s going to require a lot of attention and love and I don’t think my SO realizes that. She just had diarrhea on the carpet at 3am, and rather than help me clean it up he got super disgusted and left me to go sleep on the couch. I feel bad. I know we can provide a loving home to dog B, but I’m not sure if my SO is willing.
