My girlfriend and I are planning to get a dog in the next couple months, and a question came to mind that I couldn't really find an answer to. I've seen a bunch of videos where people take their dogs to the store and let them pick their own items: usually toys, but I've also seen treats and beds. People who have done this, does your dog seem to get more satisfaction out of these items than one you'd bring home for them? When faced with a wall of toys, can they effectively pick the one that's going to be their favorite versus the one they just happen to look at first?
