My two male, neutered cats are litter-mates, we adopted them when they were kittens and they're 4 years old now.
They've kinda grown apart over the years (they don't snuggle with each other anymore, they spend most of their time in separate rooms, etc.) but they always got along. Ever since my fiance and I have been home almost 24/7 due to the pandemic, they seem to be a little stressed out. Their playtime usually turns into hissing and growling now and we have to split it up.
Could it be that we're not giving them enough attention relative to the amount of time we're home now? Or maybe they crave more alone time without everyone in the house? Is it common for cats suddenly grow apart like this? What should we do to keep the peace?
