I recently took in a couple of kittens. Both of them have had diarrhea since I got them and so far nothing has helped. Theyve been to the vet twice, undergone multiple rounds of deworming, eat grain free age appropriate food (both wet and dry), drink plenty of water, and have had their stool tested (came back negative for parasites). I know yall are not medical professionals but I’m running out of options here and so is my vet, and I’d like to keep the vet bills as low as possible. They seem to be otherwise perfectly healthy and are able to eat and grow at a normal pace, just have really runny smelly poop. Is it okay to just ... leave this alone? I worry it won’t just run its course because this has been constant for the last 3 weeks. Do they just need more fiber? Is this normal for kittens? I’d like them to not be in any discomfort or have to be bathed as much as they have to be, since one of them is a little confused on covering his poops and keeps stepping in it on accident, which I then have to wash off of him.
