My apologies if this isn’t allowed. I just needed to vent for a second.
Let my dogs out this evening, in my fenced in backyard. One side of my yard has a sidewalk running along it, and I have a double gate on that side- so two gates that meet in the middle. There’s about a 2 inch gap between them, small enough that my toy dachshund can get just the tip of his nose out of. I’m out there with them and hear someone walking up the sidewalk, as does my dachshund, who runs over to the fence to bark at the gate. He’s standing back from it a couple of inches and does not have his face thru the gate. I see someone walk past, stop, take a step back, and STAB A WALKING STICK THRU THE OPENING, several times, jabbing my dog in the face. I yelled out a few expletives and they just kept walking. I did go around to get some photos of the person, because I called the police. And it’s an older Indian woman, maybe in her late 50s. It took everything I had to not approach her screaming. I just don’t get it. She had already walked past my dog. My dog very clearly couldn’t and was not going to get her in any way. And yet she went out of her way to purposefully try to harm him. I’m pissed. Again, my apologies if vent posts are not allowed. I’m just absolutely dumbfounded that someone would do that.
