So there are 3 kittens and mother cat who stay at our place mostly. We provide them food regularly but they do go away few hours a day. The mother cat wasn't our pet either. They just chose us and our home. The kittens are may be a few months old.
So this little fella was caught by few dogs in the evening. The mother cat spontaneously jumped and I too joined the fight and chased away the dogs in a matter of seconds.
The kitten was unhurt. No injury at all. The mother cat and kitten calmly returned inside our gated house right after the incident. The kitten didn't limp, wasn't dripping blood or showing any signs of concern while coming back. They snuck under our car right after the incident. (Don't worry, there is lockdown. Car hasn't been out in weeks.). I went back in relieved and didn't check on them the entire night.
I thought I saved the kitten, but I was wrong. The next day I found this fella sleeping peacefully but forever in my garden :(
I asked few people but the only answer I got was that the kitten got too shocked. Is this true?
Anyways, RIP buddy
