I just took my dog to the emergency vet and they are keeping him overnight. He needs surgery, but it's not emergent enough for them to do it there. They said I will need to take him to another vet in the morning and hope they will do a penile amputation, but he needs to get it done ASAP. I just dropped $750 there tonight, so I can't afford to spend that much (or more) again in one payment tomorrow since I don't get paid for another week. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on what I can do. Would pet insurance help or is there something else I may not know of? I just gotta help my boy as he's one of the main reasons I'm still alive.
