our dog is pretty small (about 10 inches from his feet to his back) and he's a beagle. he's extremely strong for his size, and that's not a good thing in this case. he's way too smart for his own good and he figured out that when he scratches on a door, it makes a huge amount of noise. since he cant bark very loud he's substituted barking for scratching on the door. this is a huge issue because our neighbours have already complained once about the noise, and he does it randomly at night when he wakes up. when i let him outside he doesn't go to the bathroom and he doesn't need and food or water since we give him it and let him outside before we go to bed. how can we stop our dog from doing this and what might i be doing wrong that is causing this in the first place?
