I'm moving to a new city here soon and most places I look at have a no pet policy or a max pet limit of 2. The problem is I have 3 cats. I've been trying to get an ESA letter from my university psychiatrist, but he informed me that they don't write letters where he works. The problem is he is the one that diagnosed me with my mental illnesses and i don't have the money currently to find a new doctor.
I know that ESA are not "pets" and are considered more of a tool to help with self problems, which is literally the reason why i got my cats in the first place, they're the only reason I'm alive right now. I refuse to give up any of my cats just so i meet 2 pet limit, and i know i can lie and just hide one cat from wherever I move, but I'm not a fan of dishonesty.
I'm just not sure what to do now. If anyone can help in any aspect it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
