My partner and I JUST adopted a 4 month old husky puppy, and she's definitely exhibiting the signs of separation anxiety. Any time she's in a room on her own for more than 30 seconds she starts barking and howling, which I'm sure is understandable considering all of the new changes. No destruction yet though, but I'd like to prevent it from getting to that point.
We both work and while she won't be alone for more than a couple of hours, what can I do to help alleviate her anxiety while she's on her own? We do have a 1 yr old lab mix to keep her company but they're usually separated while we're gone until they get a little more used to each other.
