My niece had two cats who were brothers, they just turned 10 and one of them passed away recently. I'm thinking of getting her a kitten as a companion for the the other cat (and her).
Is there any advise for whether the cat will accept a new kitten, should I wait awhile for the cat to adjust to the change first?
The cats have lived with a dog before for a couple of years, I think they mostly hid from it and stayed away from it, so I don't really know how they do with other animals.
I was just feeling bad for the cat being alone now. Any advise would be helpful.
