I have an outdoor kitten I take care of, and she's been on revolution spot on for a month (now starting the second month), she had flea problems and now I'm pretty sure it does a good job, although I'm not sure it completely gets rid of everything, I've been recommended to move to bravecto, many people and vets saying it's the most powerful product right now on the market, + the benefit of only having to apply it once every 3 months, which is great for me because applying the spot ons on this kitten is a hard work.
the thing is, while checking on the drug online I've been exposed to a decent amount of fear mongering and horror cases regarding bravecto, and comfortis, and other products, saying that it could straight up kill the pet in several hours after or some days after giving it to them, quite a bit of stories of healthy pets taking the product and dying after days, which gets me real scared.
I'm gonna be honest here that I don't think natural remedies gonna really work, especially on cats that live outside, no coconut oil will prevent fleas from an outdoor cats, and putting coconut oil on a cat that lives outside isn't very practical unless I want them to be full of dirt getting stuck to their oily fur all the time.
so it's basically either these products or nothing, but I'm getting quite concerned from all these stroies, is bravecto and comfortis generally safe? (asking about comfortis too because I know it comes in chew'ables and that's much easier to give)
I heard comfortis is banned in the states, is there a reason for that?
