I used to be a dog person

My whole life, my family has owned dogs and I considered myself a dog person. There were 2 times we had a cat when I was a kid, but both times we took in a stray and they were MEAN. I hated cats, and just kind of thought that’s how all cats were.

Fast forward to 2 years ago, I had graduated college and was out on my own for the first time. I wanted a pet, but I was working 12 hour shifts and couldn’t justify getting a dog, so after a lot of thought and convincing from a coworker, I adopted Loki (a beautiful orange tabby). I immediately fell in love with this cat. It took him 2 days to warm up to me, and by then he was sleeping in my bed and taking naps in my lap. He is everything I have ever wanted in a pet and I have never loved anything more. He totally changed my opinion of cats and I don’t know if I can ever go back.

TL;DR I grew up hating cats and changed after adopting my best bro, Loki.
