Hey everyone! My wife and I currently have 2 cats and we have been discussing getting a dog for several months and have been back and forth on it. A couple of days ago, one of my wife's coworker who has a 2 year old beagle decided they have to give it away as they haven't been able to give as much attention since they've had a baby and now they have another on the way. We actually met the beagle a couple of weeks ago and it's got a very laid back personality with bursts of energy every now and then, which is great for us. Our only concern is how our cats will get along with it so we are going to take the beagle for a week 'trial run' starting next weekend to see how they get along and also give her coworker a week to see if they really want to give her up. Do any animal experts here have any tips for introduction and things to expect?
