So, I recently got my cat from a family member who couldn't take care of him anymore, and since I was there for a majority of his life they gave him to me. My cat was always raised as both an outside and inside cat for most of his life, but since I took him in I'd rather him be an inside only cat. The reason for this is because my neighborhood has a ton of stray cats and neighbors that let their cats outside, so I'd rather my cat not get hurt/hurt other cats.. How can I make his transition easier I possible? He's already fairly used to the house and a relaxed cat in general.. Just very chatty.
