I just adopted two 2 month old female kittens from the same litter. I am technically a first time cat owner. (The first my family owned when i was 3.) I'm 20 now. However while one has shown what I perceive as normal kitten behavior; playfulness, affection, almost constant purring, and just all out joy and curiosity, the other has seemed off.
When I first got her my cousin was holding her with her mom's supervision, but she accidentally escaped under a car. We got her back with minor difficulty. However when I returned home and set up the room with the essentials, litter box, food bowls etc. She immediately hid under the bed. And didnt come out for a couple hours.
When she did she ate and hid back under. I assumed it was normal kitten behavior, and I was right. She was especially stressed with an adoption day and has since kind of warmed up. However some of her behavior still seems off.
She has constantly been sneezing since I got her. She sleeps most of the time in a secluded area sitting up completely, she hisses at her sister one minute and is cleaning her the next. But the weird thing is I believe all these are signs shes still uncomfortable however she still purrs quite a lot.
I've owned them about 32 hours now and I absolutely adore both of them. Should I be concerned? And any advice for a brand new kitten owner would be fantastic.
