My dad got a parrot a few months ago and I thought that it was awesome. I loved the idea of a flying bird that can talk and stuff- until he got it. The bird HATES me. When I first met it I hung out around it for hours and tried petting it. Days passed and I kind of forgot about the parrot because my dad only kept it in his room. Now, 2 weeks ago he moved his cage to the living room. Great, right? Since now the parrot can see me more and get more comfortable around me. WRONG. The parrot HATES me. It won’t eat any treat I try to give him and whenever I do try to it he bites me, hard. He made me bleed multiple times because of how hard he bit me. It was pretty obvious that it does not like me. He would try to bite me whenever I get close to it and I feel like there is no way for me to bond with it.
What am I doing wrong and what do I need to do?
