I wanted to ask more people than just the rats and rabbit pages because those groups are biased, but has anyone owned both a rat and rabbits that can compare? I’ve had a rabbit and my biggest issue was she became VERY aggressive. I free roamed her in the kitchen and she would run up and bite my boyfriend and I, growl, and was very hard to handle due to being mean. I ended up rehoming her due to being so aggressive, but I am still wanting a small pet. I felt horrible because I did a lot of research and tried multiple things to get her to quit biting. From what I have researched, it seems rats are much friendlier due to them actually being social animals and intellect, can anyone confirm? A bite here and there isn’t a problem, but I would like to be able to handle them. Another thing that made them seem like a better pet is the trainability, as I have taught my dog agility for fun and rats have the capacity.
