My parents have been treating my pets horribly. I feel like I need to do something, but I don’t know how.

This is going to be a long list of stuff that my parents are doing that I am seriously worried about. Made this account mainly to hear what others think about this, seek help, or anything else. This is my first post on reddit, sorry if it’s awful. It’s not even everything that I’ve seen my parents do to my pets.

Currently I’m living in a big house with a garden, BUT we have close to 6 cats and a dog.

Let’s start from my cocker spaniel, she’s not the most affectionate dog as she’s always had a preference for my mother, but she’s just a great dog and I’ve loved her since she was a puppy and still do now, even if she’s getting old. She’s not spayed (I guess that’s how you say it in english-) but didn’t have problems, even if I would’ve spayed her long ago, it’s better for the dog. For TWO YEARS she’s been suffering with otitis, the vets told my parents that it could seriously worsen if we don’t take her the right medicines, and guess what? My parents did nothing about that. I can hear my dog crying for hours. And guess what? They stopped bringing her out on walks, because they think a garden is enough. I offered myself countless times to bring her out every day, but they said no, because apparently a medium sized dog who has never escaped when I brought her out can’t be handled by a 16 year old girl. I have asked it probably 20-30 times or so in years, but I’ve just given up and ask it once a month, they get mad at me even if I bring up the otitis problem. She’s even got fleas lately and I’m the one caring about it with the spray that has to be used once in 7 days, on the dog and where it sleeps. My mother used it twice in a day and my dog maybe developed an immunity to it now, but yeah. Ah, last thing, she has some weird thing on her tummy that resembles a mammary gland, but could be something like a tumor. It’s flaccid and just weird-looking, something that dogs shouldn’t have, or that’s what my mother told me. Guess what? Never told to vets, the times they saw it they said it’s weird, never did nothing about it.

The cats now. Oh god, some people should NOT have the right to get cats in the first place. We got two cats two years ago, the male died. Female one hasn’t been spayed and now is producing kittens every four months and we’re forced to abandon them. MY PARENTS EVEN LET FOUR OF THEM DIE BECAUSE WE COULD’T AFFORD THE VET, which is not true by the way. They all had something like flu but for cats. Now there’s even another female that’s the daughter of our cat producing kittens and adding to the overpopulation destroying every bird nest around the area. We have another cat that we decided to keep, male, son of the first one, NOT SPAYED, almost died of some weird illness that made him starve, not taken to the vet a single time.

I just need suggestions, something, anything that could make their lives better. I’ve been sparing money by myself and my friends have told me that they could give me a ride to the vet if needed. Prices here for sterilization are high, around 200€ or higher, lower for males. I know that some are doing it for 10€ if there are too many cats in one place for each cat, but the closest ones doing it are at about 2 hours of car travel, and yes, I’ve told my parents about it, they forgot the next day.

Sorry about the length of this.
