So my fiancé and I have two cats and a dog. Our dog is a rescue and my Fiancé is pretty much his emotional support person. He sleeps in our room at night but he can’t free roam at night because he gets into things. The obvious answer is always close your bedroom door at night we have two cats so if our door is closed they scratch and scream to get in/out of the room. People have suggested a cat door but we live in an apartment so that’s really just not an option either. We end up just pushing something against the door so the cats can get in but the opening is too small for the dog. (Black lab mix) but he has now found a way to get out no matter how we change the way it’s done. I’m currently out of ideas that let the cats come and go but keep our dog in our room.
TLDR: How do you keep your dog in your room at night while letting your cats come and go?
