I decided to adopt another cat to keep my existing one company. So I did and then I took her to the vet for spaying. After the vet gave her anesthetic double the amount of she needed, she fainted (according to the vet). Some time later, she woke up in the middle of the surgery and panicked. She caused her guts came out of her body panicking. They had to give her one more dose and put her guts back. She had a swelling in her belly but recovered in a short time. Since then she doesn’t let us pet her belly, she just runs away or bites us whenever we try to softly touch her belly. I don’t know if this behaviour was a thing before we adopted her because we took her to the vet as soon as we adopted (in two days actually). So I didn’t have enough time to realise or investigate. In both circumstances, I am asking if there is any way to reverse the situation or should I just keep respecting her preferences? Or might there be serious problem more than I think? Thanks in advance.
