Hi. So my 12 year old cat was dx with severe Hyperthyroidism in May and long story short I did gave her the I131 therapy and won't know if I truely worked or if it unmasked possible kidney failure. I'm so nervous and scared because ever since she has been dx with Hyperthyroidism, she has changed Soo much. Ever since she came back from her I131 radiation therapy her appetite has change
Not only there are moments that she won't eat all of her food but she is frickin still drinking a lot of water like a banshee. Her anxiety also hasn't gone away as she is still frickin pulling her out and it's frustrating because I heard so many great things about the I131 but like now I don't know if it truely worked.
We are going to the vet in a couple of weeks to see if she cured from Hyperthyroidism or she is truely suffering(having kidney disease AND severe Anxiety because she does have anxiety now). I did bought CBD oil just to see if it will help her anxiety out and I truely hope it works. I'm losing hope here with this cat and this is really affecting my mental health and like of I lose my best friend from this I'm truely am going to try kill myself because she is the only friend I ever had and my heart breaks for her. Her meows are different too now and they aren't her usual happy meows. That's how I know she has anxiety.
There are also occasional moments when she just stares at the water bowl and not drink anything. And now she does this weird thing that she lays down and just drinks water out of the water bowl. I know some cats do that but she just recently started to do that once she was put on the thyroid meds. So I am wondering if she is in pain?
Thank you and I'm sorry.
PS my family is also very poor and we cannot afford to care for her properly either if she does has other health problems like kidney or heart disease. I literally spend over $2,000 alone on this cat from buying supplements to vets visits etc. I do not want to give her up either because I don't want another family have to go through the financial Burden that my cat requires now.
