Tonight my 2 month old puppy threw up. He’s been lethargic and heavy sleeping ever since. Like the type of heavy sleeping that I can only wake him if I pick him up.
I had restarted him today on his hookworm medicine after a 2 week break, following doctor’s orders. He also got a little piece of imitation crab off the ground before I could grab it from him. Those are the only abnormalities to today.
His breathing has been slow and the extreme heavy sleeping has me nervous. I oral syringed some water into his mouth and he ate 3 puppy treats I gave him. When I took him outside to pee, he acted normal. When we came back inside he looked helpless on the stairs he normally climbs with ease. It took almost 3 minutes of coaxing to get him up the stairs (I wanted to make sure he was okay).
He has a vet appointment for more shots on Monday. Is he just not feeling well and feeling tired after throwing up? Or does it seem serious?
