I adopted my cat 2 years ago, since then I love him and taking good care of him. Feed him, clean his litter box, give him treats, take him to the vet etc, but he never get near me except I'm feeding him his meal or treat, and these are the only times he will allow me to pet him. I have always been very gentle and quiet to him and never bother him when he is sleeping or resting, but everytime I get a bit closer to him he starts to lower his body like I'm a threat and then runs away immediately. However, he REALLY love to being with my sister and my mom. They never do anything except sometimes pet him a bit, but my cat keeps sticking to her very closely wherever she goes. Sit on her laps, purring around her and Meow to her etc, while still keeps the same far-distance attitude towards me. I found a girlfriend last year and my cat loves her very very much as well. Follow her around, sitting on her laps as well, treat her just like my mom and sister. It's already been 2 years since I adopted my cat but he still does not approach me except meal time and let me get near him at all, but have love everyone else in my family at all time. I really love him so I don't want him see me as just a feeding machine but a friend. I don't know if I made any mistake that make him hate me, Is there any tips that can help him to like me more? I just want my cat to love me as well. Please and thank you!!
