So the story is that someone in my SOs trailer park had a cat they tossed out and abandoned after it had peed on the rug. This cat however with our interactions has been the sweetest little kitty and he has the cutest little meow. He can't take this cat, Tux, in himself due to animals already being in the home though. However, I'm highly tempted to bring my cat carrier next time to take this sweet pea home and give him a home that he deserves.
I was told he's been fixed, and that he might be chipped. Shots have probably been done but I don't know any history on the shots. First off, is there anything that can be done about the chip? Will a vets office be able to update the chip to new info if I tell them the situation? Tux was tossed out and abandoned, and I was told he was clinging to the screen the first couple days crying to come in to the house he was thrown out of. It's obvious the owners don't want him anymore.
Second, how can I get Tux used to a new home with two other cats in the area? One is an outdoor cat and the other is exclusively indoors. I don't know if he's been litter box trained, so I was thinking I would probably have to get a couple more litter boxes for the house to keep around while he's getting used to it.
Third: how can I help these two cats get along? Aslan antagonized our departed cat Smokey some, but she was still able to get affection and have some peace in the same room. Our outdoor cat he seems to get territorial with however. I want both of them because Aslan is our little bush baby drop off. Tux is a loving little bub that needs a good home. Aslan has PTSD about being outside, and Tux deserves to be in a home where he can at least go in and out at his leisure.
