I might sound dumb asking this but is there like a type of cat dementia? My cat is 21 years old and other than being deaf I think he is in pretty good health. I'm asking this because my cat tiger acts kinda strange compared to other cats, I think. Like when he rubs his head against something he doesnt do it gently he will literally slam his chin into something and start rubbing, when I'm scratching his chin (I dont do this anymore) he would be purring and rubbing against my hand and all of a sudden bite me and than keep rubbing again and it's not like he doesnt like attention because he is the biggest attention seeking cat I've ever met. He also walks around all the time with his claws out. I thought it could have been an injury because up until he went deaf and let us look after him he was pretty much a wild outside cat my entire life, but the other day I was petting him and his claws werent out. My boyfriend was also telling me that if cats are in silence for to long they start going crazy, and since my cat is deaf does that mean he is going crazy or something? Sorry if I sound kinda dumb I'm not trying to, I'm just worried about my cat.
