Cat peeing in one spot on the floor

It's been about a week of my ~1 year old cat peeing in the corner of my room. I was worried to begin with that it was medical, but I suspected that she was just angry i haven't been letting her outside.

long story short, after meowing at the door, i caught her squatting and carried her to the litter box. she meowed at the door for a bit, and then went back over to the same spot and squatted. i took her back to the litter box, and she went to the door again, meowed for a bit, and then peed. i didn't catch her fast enough the third time, but there's no doubt in my mind she's 100% doing this because i won't let her outside.

i live in a pet friendly apartment complex so i can't let her go on her own, and i've been busy since the semester started. i don't have the time to take her out, not to mention it's miserably cold, and not to mention there's no way in hell, especially now, that i'm teaching her that peeing means going outside.

I've since put down trash bags in the spot she pees in, and that worked for awhile since i could just soak up the pee with toilet paper and put it in her litter box.

today though i came home to her literally pulling up the bags (which were weighted down, meaning she had to really try) and leaving a spot on the carpet underneath.

I'm about at my limit which has turned into putting her in the bathroom (with her food, water, and litterbox) and leaving her there indefinitely. I've only done this for short bits, 10 minutes at the most but usually less, after catching her peeing before, but i can't deal with it. i don't know how to teach her not to, and the next best thing is physically preventing her.

Do any of you have a better solution?

If there are cleaners that will remove 100% of it, i don't mind taking some time to teach her, but i don't want to pay my landlord for a whole new carpet when i move out.

I'm taking her to the vet in a few weeks to get spayed (spraying is apparently on vertical surfaces, and smells worse, so i don't think it's that) and i can see if anything is wrong, but i'm almost positive this is behavioral
