Cat with arthritis is not eating properly

Hi!

Over the weekend we had a scare with my cat who is almost 16 years old. She's been in perfect health her whole life. Suddenly she was sleeping all day, looking quite dazed and couldn't walk right on one leg. We took her to the vet on Saturday who injected her with metacam and she seems to have sprung back (not completely herself still) and we were given a week of meds for her.

We haven't been able to give her the meds since Saturday as she isn't eating much at all. She seems to be pawing her mouth sometimes which is making us think she's dry? She licks us a lot usually and hasn't been which is another reason why we think she's all dry. But she just won't drink more than 10 licks of cat milk at a time.

I'm not worried about her leg anymore as she's walking fine now. She just isn't eating as much as she did before this leg issue. She wasn't doing this with her mouth before the injection.

Is there anything I could do to have her drink/eat more? She's eaten a tiny bit today. About half a pouch.

Is this normal with metacam? Is this dehydration? The vet did look at her teeth but very briefly and said nothing about them.
