I'm thinking of getting a kitten that's about 2.5months old. I also live out of state and am going back to visit for a week in 2 weeks. I was wondering if anyone has advice on whether I should bring the kitten with me (1 hour plane ride) or leave it at my apt and have someone stop by to check up on him daily.
I don't want him to be stressed out traveling and in a new environment, but I also wonder if it might be good for him long term to get used to traveling as I live out of state from my family.
I know kittens are different than puppies, but is socialization and stuff like that similar? Will bringing a kitten with me on a plane, to a house or two over a week and meeting other cats and kittens be a good idea? Or should I leave him home with a babysitter?
I do plan on moving out of my apt to another state sometime between the next few months and the next year and I think it would be cool to have a cat that's comfortable to bring back home once a year or so. But I do understand cats don't like change, unless this is something that they can get used to when they're kittens?
