I finished college and had to leave the shared house I lived for the past 6 years, I've had my cat since then. When I got him he was a baby and we've been together almost the whole time, with the exception of a few weekends or holidays. I've never been apart from him for more than 10 days in a row.
After leaving college I've come home and we've been here for the past two months. As always, my cat is very happy and comfortable at my parents' house, he has places to hide and play and a lot of windows and places to nap.
Now I'm gonna go to work and move out next month, I'm gonna have to share a house again, this time with three other people. I don't know if I can deal again with not sleeping properly because I can't close the door because of the cat and I don't know if I want to always be worried someone let him out or gave him something bad to eat...
I honestly think he is happier at my parents' but I have a big emotional connection with him and I don't know if I can feel fine without seeing him everyday. I also don't want to feel like I've abandoned him.
Can someone give me some advice/ opinions? Thank you
