One of our cats has been peeing on the floor in our room ever since we moved. We have to keep two of our cats and one of our dogs in our bedroom because our roommates have people over frequently and my boyfriend is concerned one will run out. His eldest cat ran out once because of this and now he is worried about our two younger cats. We let them run around every time we have the house to ourselves. The bedroom is quite large and we have two litter boxes in there that we scoop everyday. Once we started moving, our cat, Luna, instantly got a uti from stress. When we moved in, she still pees outside of the litter box and we have been here for about 4 months. She NEVER did that at our old house. I work at a vet office and one of the vets gave me a medicine to help with that kind of behavior, amitriptyline. While the medicine helps, she stills does it at least once a week. Anytime there is any kind of blanket, clothes or really anything soft, she pees on it. LUCKILY, she doesn't pee on the bed. We don't want our carpets in our rental ruined and we can't bear the thought of getting rid of her because she is such a sweet cat. We have no idea what else we could do. Is there a way to discipline her? How do I keep her from peeing outside the litter box? Has anyone else had this problem?
