So, I've never had my cat go through any surgery before, but he had to get sedated for other reasons. When he was first sedated last year he was fine after 2-3 hours.
But this morning we took him to get neutered. We were told he'd be given local anesthesia and he'd be up within an hour at most, so we didn't worry much. After an hour the vet called us to come pick him up, and when we came he was completely out cold. He was given full anesthesia which we thought was fine.
Well, we took him home and he woke up after two hours having completely soiled himself. Which I read could happen, so it didn't worry me too much. Within ten minutes of waking up and groggily walking around he dropped back down and was out cold for another two hours. Half an hour ago he woke up again, took a few steps and fainted yet again. Is this normal for a cat after surgery or should I start getting worried?
