Hi all, thank you in advance for any advice and tips!
I am dog sitting my boyfriends dogs who are outside. They recently took in a stray (hard to tell how old maybe 2-3 and possible part yorkie) but didn’t have time to take him to the vet before they left on vacation but he seemed pretty healthy, eats well and is very timid but calm. It’s been raining a lot where we live and he was getting really wet as the other dogs won’t get him in their dog house (they’re very territorial) so I decided to take him home so he wouldn’t be in the rain. I think he had been abused wherever he was before because he gets so scared at any sudden movements but he has definitely warmed up to me. I noticed one of his bottom teeth was missing and after a little examination all of his front bottom teeth are incredibly loose. I immediately looked up what I should do and have already made a vet appointment. It’s hard to tell if he’s in pain but he eats well and is still playful. Does anyone have experience with dogs with loose teeth and outcomes with them? I’m just very worried something is really wrong with him and I’ve already grown attached and would be devastated if anything happened to this little guy. Any advice is much appreciated thanks so much!
