Recently, every morning my kitten (about 7 months old) wakes up at about 6 AM and then sits on the floor next to my bed and just cries loudly. Again and again, nonstop, until I acknowledge him or grab him and hold him on the bed with me. He is fully capable of getting on the bed on his own- no injuries or anything, and in general a healthy cat. Even if the food is full, litter box is clean, he just does this every morning.
He’s definitely an affectionate, needy cat in general, which I do love about him, but I’m wondering if something’s wrong that he can’t quite communicate. My first thought would be that he just wants attention, but I’m confused as to why he’d cry on the floor instead of just getting in my face.
