I'm really scared right now. My dog is currently hospitalized with congestive heart failure. He hasn't been seen by the cardiologist yet, but 3 different vets think it could a congenital condition. I'm hoping that it can be treated with meds.
What are my odds for getting pet insurance to cover meds? I only have a vague idea of how insurance works but I know it's almost impossible with pre-existing conditions like this. But I know I won't be able to pay for meds without it. Should I try anyway? Anyone else have an experience like this?
