Let me know if there’s a better sub to post this in but I felt like there would be a lot of pet store employees on here.
I always hear about people abandoning pets outside at pet stores and shelters. I normally don’t here this happen with rats probably because rats aren’t as common.
I currently have 3 rats, and although I’m not necessarily looking to get more, I can’t imagine the thought of a poor rat being abandoned and who knows what will happen to them after. Is it a normal thing to let pet stores know to call me if they ever get an abandoned rat? Are they allowed to do that?
