Wondering about others’ experiences with pets with tumors. My five year-old cat has a large mass inside of her ear/throat and I don’t know what to do at this point. My poor cat keeps getting horrible ear infections from this mass blocking her ear. I have spent hundreds of dollars already on antibiotics and tests. Some people have warned me against surgical removal; claiming the tumors come back more aggressive than before. The vet is urging me to take her to veterinary specialists for further testing and surgery. The initial biopsy tests came back inconclusive. The specialists recommended around here have some scary reviews and I am very uncertain about taking her there. I don’t have money to waste on careless vets, and I definitely won’t risk her precious life. The estimate for testing and surgery is $5,000-$6,000. I have started a fundraising campaign for her that doesn’t seem to be going too well. Does anyone have helpful insight? Any similar personal experiences or advice on how to raise money for a situation such as this?
