Weird Queen Behaviour

So we have a stray who's just decided she lives here (her name is Princess, can you tell why). She's just had a litter of kittens, my fault, I really didn't realise she was old enough to fall pregnant, but they're here now, so if you can give me advice on when to get her spayed, that'd be dope.

Anyway, she just popped them out yesterday, and she's behaving pretty bizarrely, she's walking around calling. Now I know this behaviour from another cat, but that was when her kittens were much bigger, calling them to tell them where she is. She wants you to come back with her to her babies and just sit there, and I'm pretty certain she will only nurse while you're sitting staring at her. So I did a quick Google and I know that generally she nurses every hour or so (correct me if this information is incorrect), so every hour I'm walking back to sit there and stare so she can look after her children.

Is this an environment thing? Is she feeling insecure? There's a lot of wild cats on the grounds and spayed and neutered resident cats in the house. She is inside and she's in a quiet corner that the other cats don't dare to go to. I'm scared that if no one is around to oggle her she'll just neglect to feed and take care of her kitties. What do I doooo?
