My cockatiel recently started plucking on his wing and i got worried, I asked his breeder if there was anything i could do to help him and they suggested treating the wound with tea tree oil and covering it with vaseline to discourage the plucking. but i recently read online that tea tree oil could be toxic to my bird and now im really worried. Did they tell me to do something harmful to my pet? what should i do? I asked them but haven't heard back yet.
