Hi all,
First-time cat owner/adopter (fingers crossed it all looks okay) so I wanted to field a question here. The cat I'm looking to adopt is a 1 y.o. snowshoe x siamese male. I've just heard from the shelter that it's on the last legs of a flu, with symptoms almost totally gone. I'll be able to pick him up after his two-week course of antibiotics.
My question is around whether this is a sign of bad health or genes. I'm a first-timer with owning a pet by myself, and it would be a big commitment if I went into this knowing about existing / health issues. Yes, I understand pet health is always a big commitment, but I'd love to hear experience/thoughts from you all :)
Any and all input is very much appreciated!
