So I had cats growing up as a kid. They would come to me if called by name, they would cuddle with me and chill out with me, make eye contact. Would play with ALL sorts of toys.
My new cat I just adopted isn't hiding or anything but also doesn't really make eye contact or look at me. Also doesn't come when called by name (3 years old, house trained etc), doesn't like catnip - squints her eyes at the smell and moves on.
Is this normal? She threw up on the ride home and is very meowy. Keeps looking out windows and messing up blinds. Purring like crazy. Playing with wands only. So I don't think she is nervous or shocked from a new environment. She's checking everything out. Just think it's odd she won't really look at me or come to me when called.
Any advice?
