Bird acting strange and freaking out the past 2 days

I got a myna fledgling about a week ago everything was going fine. It was very friendly towards me from the start and loved being hand fed. I would take it out the cage and it would sit on my coffee table or a perch I made for it. It was comfortable in it's cage and had no issues.

But over the last 2 days it's been desperate for my attention, it's cage is on the balcony and if he sees me he will start freaking out and trying to cram his head through the bars to get to me, or straight up trying to fly into the bars to get through them.

Even though it's got food in it's cage it's also ravenously hungry and wants to be hand fed all the time. As soon as it gets my attention it will start crying and opening it's mouth for food, but it has food in the cage.... it can't be that hungry.

I bring him out of the cage often, especially if he's freaking out and trying to get to me. Before, he loved to explore the house and be independent but now he'll just fly straight to my shoulder and has no interest in doing anything else apart from sit there and be hand fed grapes. When he's had enough he'll go to sleep. It's like as he's getting older he's getting LESS independent when it should be more.

Is there something wrong or is he just doing weird bird stuff?
