Husband and I moved into a new apartment today. When my husband brought her in, he opened her crate and let her start exploring (I would have let her have one room and slowly introduced her, but he didn't). Well this is her first night and she will not stop meowing. It's constant. She has never ever done this before, even the first two times we have moved her she hasn't done this. I tried going to sleep on the couch to try to help (she is very dependent on us and I thought it would calm her down), but the only time she stopped meowing was when I was actively petting her. She was okay earlier when we first let her out, she just followed us around everywhere. Once we went to sleep however, it was a different story. She has never mowed like this at night and she won't stop. For now, I've shut her into a small room with her litterbox, food and water, and one of her favorite blankets. Is there anything else I can do? Will this behavior hopefully stop? Thanks for any advice.
