Considering two little dogs in my apartment - is there such a thing as doggy litter?

Experienced cat owner, inexperienced dog owner here.

I'm hoping to adopt a pair of little rescue dogs (both 3yrs). They are quiet and adorable. I've been hesitant to have one dog as they will be alone during the day, but two seems fine and this pair prefers being inside (they have been neglected in the past and feel safer inside, I don't mind this).

I have a tiled, walled, inescapable, private, covered courtyard and will get a doggy-door so they can enter/exit as they please. No grass or soil, but I have a park directly across the road so they will be walked twice daily and go on bigger adventures several times per week.

My question is: where do they pee during the day? Is there something I can install in the courtyard for them?
