Dog may die while I babysit him (rover horror story)

I’m a dog sitter on the Rover app and have been watching dogs for years now, and this is by far my worst experience. The dog I’m watching is a 15 year old toy poodle. He’s blind, deaf, has arthritis (cannot balance for shit, stumbles and falls and bumps into things), and just had a seizure in May. I’m currently going through a lot with my metal health and this is just the cherry on top. I’m completely heartbroken watching this dog. He has no clue what’s going on or why his owner is no longer near him, he refuses to eat, and he’s so shaky. I can’t look at him for long without crying. After I gave him his cbd medicine and comforted him by gently petting him, he seemed to calm down. I’m so afraid that he will die on my watch. The owner told me that she is prepared for him to go, and to just put him in a bag in my freezer if he dies. What the hell!!!?? Being an animal lover is hard. I know she (the owner) really wanted someone to look after him while she was away at a wedding/family time for four days... but jeez this is a lot to put on someone. I just felt bad saying no. This dog needs to be put out of his misery. If you have a dog, please do not prolong their suffering for as long as possible, it is devastating and no way to live. Wish me luck these next few days...
