I totally fell in love with my boyfriend’s parent’s foster dog. We were staying there so we spent a lot of time with him. We were planning on moving out next month and adopting him officially, even though the adoption price is like $450. We had him for 4 months and nobody was interested in him (he’s mostly blind and a senior dog with kind of a so-ugly-he’s-cute face) so I really thought we had some more time. The adopters have to fill out some forms before they show up to buy him at the adoption event so all I can hope for is they change their mind. That sounds horrible because it’s good that he is potentially getting adopted but he has a nice life right now and it took him a while to get used to us, he cried a lot because his first family had him his whole life and then dumped him at the shelter bc they moved. We should’ve planned for this better. Anyways I’m sad sorry Reddit.
